Awesome!

Words can’t describe the afternoon we’ve had. On our whale watching tour there was a “gam” of humpback whales bubble net feeding. A gam is more than a pod which consists of 4 or 5 whales. There were at least 12 in the gam that we saw. Look up bubble net feeding-it’s really amazing! We saw them come up at least 5 times. The last time was with 10 feet of our boat! Truly stuff right off the Discovery Channel! Then we watched a mama humpback and her calf play for about 20 minutes. They’d breach and roll over, go down and come up and roll again. Again, it was amazing. I know part of the problem is being tired (it’s 11:30), but it really was too extraordinary of an experience to put into words. Truly wish we could have shared it with you all! The rest of our day was good as well, but I’m too tired to tell you about it and I have to be up in a few hours to go do the zipline.

I'm posting this just before getting off the ship on Tuesday morning cause I couldn't get online last night. I'll have to catch up with pictures later. We're all well and HAPPY.

  1. Glad you are HAPPY! I will have to look up bubble net feeding. It sounds very interesting. Maybe someday I'll have to go on a cruise too. :-) Hope you get even more HAPPY!

  3. It looks like Dad was able to post above. He said that he's been trying but they're not showing up. He's going to call me later and I'll walk him through it to make sure he's got it right!

The whale watching sounds amazing! I can't wait to see the pictures! I hope it's not like watching Tinkerbell flying over where I spent my entire time trying to catch it with the camera and completely missed seeing her! Sound like you guys are having tons of fun!

Dad says all is well with him and the carpet is drying out with the irrigation off. But you are not to worry about it!!!

    Love you!

  4. We have had nothing but rain. Kimberly had ten inches of rain in Edmond. She did not go to school yesterday because of flooding in and around the area.

We are all fine. Kevin's family and Kimberly will be here on Friday to celebrate Father's Day weekend.

    Love to you all. CARLA

  6. hoping that you're so tired that you can't post today! Can't wait to see pics of you on the zipline--did you take your camera?

Dad's all sorted out. (I read stuff like that in British books, and like to think it applies here)--He didn't actually need any help he did it all on his own--love that man!--he's watering your front flower bed tonight and got some tilling done.
